Ashcroft, British Columbia

Brian's grandmother is dying of lung cancer and the doctor told her she has 2-4 months left to live. Brian's mom, brother, Brian and I decided to drive to Canada to go see her before she passes. The drive there was around 19 hours and we drove through the night without stopping besides gas and food. It was a very long drive but fun to be able to be with each other and get to know everyone a little more. They live in this small town called Ashcroft. It is in the middle of nowhere and nothing to do there so we went on a lot of walks around the town and took some funny pictures. His grandma is going downhill a lot and the whole time we were there she was in bed and didn't eat anything. His grandpa was having a hard time watching his wife dying but you could tell they really appreciated us being there. Here are a few pictures of our trip to Ashcroft, British Columbia.
One of our stops was in a grocery store in Washington right before the border to Canada where I got stung by a bee on my neck. It was so weird because Brian and I were just walking down the aisle and I   felt this sharp thing in my neck and put my hand up there and there was a bee on it so I flung it off and Brian killed it. The store manager gave us some medicine with free charge and the swelling went down. Fun times!
On the side of the road we saw two cubs and a mama bear. It was so cool to see them so close and in the wild.
Ashcroft used to be a railroad stop so there was a lot of railroad sightings so we took a lot of pictures there since that was pretty much all there was to take pictures of. Brian adopted this pose that he thought was so funny and wanted to do it in all the pictures. He is such a dork!

While we were there there was a goat who was having a birthday so the little farm was having a party with cake so of course we had to go. They had some horses, baby goats, lambs and calves. They were so cute.
Brian and I will own horses when we are older! :) I LOVE them!!!
